Neil Murphy

Neil Murphy is a Barcelona-based director and cinematographer known for visually striking work that blends cinematic storytelling with emotional authenticity. He brings a strong visual sensibility and technical precision to every project, crafting images that feel both polished and deeply human.

His directing focuses on atmosphere, performance, and narrative clarity, whether in branded content, commercials, or narrative pieces. His work often explores themes of identity, connection, and modern life, combining elegant compositions with a grounded, naturalistic tone.

Neil specialises in fiction but is completely adaptable. Documentary, commercials, music videos. His default register is moody and low-key, but he reads the room and shifts when the project calls for it.

His narrative credits include Seasons 5 and 6 of Crims (Goroka, True Crime Factory) and a US feature film. In advertising, he has worked on campaigns for Estrella Damm, Banco Santander, Donettes, The North Face, Nike, and Previsora General.
